About this game

n

Aviator is one of the most cloned titles in the category, and the copies are not subtle once you know what to look at. This page is a checklist for telling the original aviator game from a repackaged one, because the difference is not cosmetic — the clones exist to take something from you that the real game does not ask for.

Four checks, in order of how quickly they settle it

  • Permissions. The genuine build asks for network access and temporary storage. SMS, contacts or accessibility access means walk away.
  • Size. About 27 MB. A crash game is a few screens and a curve; a 200 MB installer is carrying something else.
  • Signature. The real package is signed and halts if the signature does not match — a repackaged copy cannot reproduce it.
  • Provably fair. The original lets you verify any past round's seed yourself. Clones either hide the screen or return values that do not check out.

How the verification actually works

Before a round begins, the server generates the result and publishes a hash of it. After the round, the seed itself is revealed. Hashing that revealed seed should reproduce the hash you were shown beforehand — if it does, the result could not have been altered while the plane was climbing. It takes about a minute to check one round, and doing it once is the strongest evidence available that you are on the aviator game original.

What the clones get subtly wrong

Beyond the obvious tells, copies tend to feel off in ways that are hard to articulate until you have played both: the curve distribution is too generous early and too harsh later, the round history is suspiciously tidy, and the player feed shows names that repeat. None of these are proof on their own, but together they are usually right.

Where the copies circulate

Chat apps, mostly. An apk that arrives in a WhatsApp or Telegram group, however plausible the group, is the single highest-risk way to install anything on Android. Download from one source you can identify, and grant your browser install permission only for that one install.

You can test all of this for free

The demo runs the genuine round logic with nothing staked, and the provably fair check works in demo mode too. Verifying a round before you deposit anything costs you nothing but a minute.

18+ only. Aviator involves real-money wagering where that applies. Decide your limit before the first round, treat what you lose as the price of the entertainment, and stop when it stops being fun.

Data safety

Data safety details vary by device, region, and build.

The clearest safety signal in this category is what an installer asks for. The genuine build needs network access and temporary storage. Anything requesting SMS, contacts or accessibility services is a clone, and the request is the point of it.

Collected: account identifier, diagnostics, round history.

Not collected: contacts, SMS, call logs, photos, precise location.

Shared: nothing is sold; payment processors receive transaction data only.

Integrity: the package is signed and refuses to launch on a mismatched signature — which is exactly the check repackaged copies cannot pass.

Controls: permissions are revocable in Android settings; deletion requests go to support.

I had installed two fakes before finding the original aviator game. The giveaway was the permissions — one of them wanted SMS access for a game with a single button. This build asks for nothing odd.

The provably fair check is the thing that convinced me this was the aviator game original rather than a copy. You can verify a past round yourself in about a minute. Wish the verify screen were easier to find.

Clones tend to feel subtly wrong — curve distribution is off, history is too tidy. This one behaves the way the original does, and the round seeds actually check out when you test them.
